A giant evergreen poker producing huge clumps of long, strap-shaped  evergreen leaves. In summer the rich orange red flowering spikes thrust upwards to a towering 2.5m in well-grown plants. Vigorous  dazzling  flamboyant and architectural are adjectives that can be ascribed to this smouldering beauty. Benefiting from a trim in spring  reduce the leaves by half for a tidier appearance.
